EARTH. SAVE IT!

SAVE YOUR PLANET

Why is Earth a suitable place to support life?
Earth has a breathable atmosphere. Oxygen is the gas that is required for the life of most creatures. This is present in Earth's atmosphere and also in water. ... This is a poisonous gas which makes up most of the atmosphere of planets like Venus and Mars and makes them unable to support human life.

Some Facts:
Earth FactsEarth is the third planet from the Sun and is the largest of the terrestrial planets. The Earth is the only planet in our solar system not to be named after a Greek or Roman deity. The Earth was formed approximately 4.54 billion years ago and is the only known planet to support life.

Save Earth:
  1. Use Environmentally Safe Products. ...
  2. Recycle Your Used Motor Oil and Filters. ...
  3. Report Illegal Dumping. ...
  4. Never do something against the rules.( or something that's harmful)
  5. Dispose of Trash Properly. ...
  6. Use Water-Based Paints. ...
  7. Recycle Everything You Can
  8. Don't throw litter.
  9. Stop polluting the sea.
  10. Look after the greenery.

SOLAR SYSTEM

SOLAR SYSTEM:
The solar system is made up of the sun and everything that orbits around it, which are planets, moons, asteroids, comets, and meteoroids. It extends from the sun, called Sol by the ancient Romans.

PLANETS:
  • Mercury – The planet with the second highest temperature in the Solar System and the closest planet to the Sun.
  • Venus – The warmest planet, and the closest planet to the Earth
  • Earth – The only planet in the solar system that is known to have a life. It has one natural satellite, the Moon.
  • Mars – Sometimes called the "red planet" and "the brother of Earth".
  • Jupiter – The largest planet in the Solar System.
  • Saturn – Sixth planet from the Sun. It has giant rings around it.
  • Uranus - Seventh planet from the Sun. It has 11 rings around it.
  • Neptune – The farthest planet from the Sun.
  • Dwarf planets:

    • Ceres is the largest asteroid (not mentioning plutinos) in the Solar System's main asteroid belt
    • Pluto was considered a planet until August 24, 2006, when the International Astronomical Union(IAU) defined conditions for planets that Pluto did not meet.
    • Haumea is shaped like an egg.
    • Makemake crosses paths with Eris.
    • Eris follows the most elliptical path of any planet.

Big Bang Theory.

The Big Bang theory is an effort to explain what happened at the very beginning of our universe. According to the standard theory, our universe sprang into existence as "singularity" around 13.7 billion years ago.....

There is evidence for the Big Bang theory in the observed redshift of distant galaxies, which indicates that they are moving away from the Earth, in the existence of cosmic microwave background, and from other data. The Big Bang theory of the origin of the universe is accepted by most astronomers today.

What are the stars?

Basically, stars are big exploding balls of gas, mostly hydrogen and helium. Our nearest star, the Sun, is so hot that the huge amount of hydrogen is undergoing a constant star-wide nuclear reaction, like in a hydrogen bomb.
                                Why do the stars twinkle?
Stars twinkle because of turbulence in the atmosphere of the Earth. As the atmosphere churns, the light from the star is refracted in different directions. This causes the star's image to change slightly in brightness and position, hence "twinkle."  Planets do not twinkle the way stars do...

Milky Way facts

The Milky Way contains over 200 billion stars, and enough dust and gas to make billions more. The solar system lies about 30,000 light-years from the galactic center and about 20 light-years above the plane of the galaxy. Our galaxy is a typical barred spiral, much like billions of other galaxies in the universe...

GALAXY

Galaxy Formation... One says that galaxies were born when vast clouds of gas and dust collapsed under their own gravitational pull, allowing stars to form. The other, which has gained strength in recent years, says the young universe contained many small "lumps" of matter, which clumped together to form galaxies...
